The Transgenerational Journey of Anger

Understanding inherited anger patterns

Anger, one of the basic components of our emotional foundation, signals in a healthy way situations where our territory is violated, generating internal reactions that allow us to act to resolve it. However, the activated emotional energy and sometimes even the behaviors put into action are not proportional to the situations we find ourselves in. The exploration of genealogy can bring to light events, traumas of our ancestors, sufferings left unresolved, suspended in the void of time. Inherited consciously or not, all these emotionally unfinished things “travel” across generations, seemingly seeking closure.
